Performance Appraisal System (P.A.S.) training

 

These days, many companies use performance appraisal systems. However, in most cases, these assessment techniques are perceived to be an unnecessary burden by the employers. Managers do not take advantage of the individual and organizational level opportunities offered by performance appraisal systems. The reason for this might be that they themselves are not aware of the advantages and opportunities offered by these systems and the fundamental rules of management by objective.

While utilizing the Performance Appraisal System program, the participants will become familiar with the steps and methods of performance-oriented management (Management by Objectives - MBO) and will master the skills necessary for the operation of the performance appraisal system. 

The objective of this training course is to teach the participants to master the MBO attitude, and to demonstrate the proper use, advantages, and objectives of the performance appraisal system which is currently utilized by the company. Moreover, the objective of the program is to practice and utilize the managerial and acknowledgement skills required for performance-oriented management, and to develop the ability to create a stimulating work environment.

During the training, the participants will become familiar with the individual and company level performance assessment methods, the opportunities of how to increase performance, and the connection between the employees’ commitment and their performance. All in all, they will have the opportunity to master managerial skills that form an integral part of, and contribute to, an improvement in business results. 

By the end of the program the participants will know:

  • the importance of performance appraisal systems
  • the components of individual performance 
  • the advantages of performance appraisal systems on an individual and organizational level, and the role that they play and their associated responsibilities
  • the methods of determining proper objectives (SMART) and recognizing the most frequent mistakes
  • all of the factors that might distort our perception and thus prevent objective assessment

By the end of the program the participants will be able to:

  • set goals and objectives for their employees
  • utilize management behavior and skills required during performance-assessment
  • follow the rules and behavioral patterns which make a performance assessment discussion effective and successful
  • consciously observe their employees and give them feedback
  • draw conclusions on competence level on the basis of behavior
  • define development objectives and follow up on the development procedure
