Critical thinking is one of the most important skills for success at work. Managers and employees make dozens of decisions every day. Good decisions move an organisation or project forward, while poor ones can have serious consequences.

Research shows that weak reasoning and cognitive biases can lead to serious errors in decision-making. These biases distort how we perceive situations, assess information and reach conclusions. Recognising them helps us make more considered choices.

Critical thinking is a skill we can learn, yet modern education often overlooks it. Our training helps close this gap through practical exercises and techniques for “hacking” the way our brains work.

During the training participants practise a structured process: frame the challenge, explore different views and options, gather claims, reasons and evidence, assess their strength and credibility, and draw conclusions. Nine Sherlock puzzles, the Brainiacs case study and participants’ own decisions bring the learning to life.

By the end of the Critical thinking session, participants will:

  • recognise cognitive biases and counter unconscious thinking traps
  • build sound, persuasive arguments and influence others more effectively
  • detect manipulation using critical thinking techniques
  • minimise risks and make rational decisions
