In this project, an international pharmaceutical company partnered with DEVELOR to roll out a large-scale leadership development program for middle managers across more than 20 countries.
The challenge was clear: the organization wanted to strengthen leadership capabilities in its local teams while maintaining a consistent international methodology, shared corporate values, and high-quality training delivery.
To achieve this, DEVELOR and the client co-created the leadership development content, aligned it with the company’s competency framework, and prepared local DEVELOR trainers to deliver the program in local languages. The result was a blended learning journey combining in-person and online training sessions, technology-supported independent learning, follow-up tasks, and online case study workshops.
The program focused on future leadership competencies that are especially important in complex, international organizations: agile mindset, adaptive leadership, engaging leadership, and critical and systems thinking.
The case study shows how a carefully designed global learning journey can balance central consistency with local relevance, support practical transfer, and help managers apply new leadership skills in their everyday work.
