What turns leadership development into real business impact? In a recent interview with Forbes Georgia, Mariam Dulskiené, Managing Director of DEVELOR Georgia and Lithuania, shares her perspective on how leadership and people development are evolving – and why training alone is no longer enough.

Over nearly a decade of working with leaders and teams, Mariam has seen a significant shift in how organizations approach development. Today, more companies recognize that developing their people isn’t a one-off activity, but a strategic investment that must translate into new behaviors and measurable business results.
This philosophy is at the heart of DEVELOR’s work in more than 15 countries, including Georgia. Since entering the market in 2017, DEVELOR Georgia has worked with teams from nearly 100 companies, combining international expertise with solutions adapted to local business realities.
The interview also shows what this approach looks like in practice. Mariam shares examples of development initiatives that contributed to an 89% increase in sales of a selected service within six months, and another where employee turnover decreased from 25% to 2%, while engagement increased from 48% to 89% within a year.
Beyond the numbers, Mariam discusses changing expectations of leaders, the critical role of middle managers, and why trust, open communication, feedback, and continuous practice are essential to sustainable change.
